![]() ![]() ![]() Glen Sean Coulthard develops an array of theoretical tools with which to critique ongoing manifestations of settler colonial domination and dispossession, highlighting the limits to both recognition-based approaches within existing Indigenous state relationships, and more recently, the politics of reconciliation. This is an incredibly timely contribution to critical approaches in geography, Indigenous studies, and settler colonial studies. Red Skin, White Masks is at once a meth-odological argument for grounded normativity, an insistence on the importance of the colonial relation to Marxist theory, and a scathing indictment of the liberal politics of recognition and reconciliation. ![]() Minneapolis, MN: University of Minnesota Press, 2014. ![]()
